Registered Veterinary Technologists
While I didn’t grow up with a dog or cat, although I begged my parents for one every holiday, instead I grew up with hamsters, rabbits, chameleons, and horses. My love for animals followed me throughout my undergrad at the University of Guelph where I completed my Bachelor of Science in Animal Biology. After taking a couple years off and working at a dog training facility I then decided to move from Ontario to BC and attend the Veterinary Technology program at Thompson Rivers University. I recently finished my final year and graduate in June 2023. I am beyond excited to start my career as a veterinary technician at Kamloops Veterinary Clinic, alongside the amazing staff and animals I’ll get to meet along the way. My interests within a clinic consist of dermatology, pocket pets, and assisting in surgery. After falling in love with my first patient I adopted my cat, Tofino, from the VTEC program and together we regularly go on hikes and paddle board. Outside of work you’ll likely find me reading, FaceTiming my family dog Fred in Ontario, or drawing pet portraits.
