Veterinary Technologist
Even though I was surrounded by animals growing up in my small town in Alberta, pursuing a career in veterinary medicine was not my first goal. I have a love for anatomy and physiology which led me to graduating from U of C with a Kinesiology degree. During this time, I started volunteering at AIWC, a wildlife rehab, and at the Calgary Zoo. This is where I realized where my real passion lies. With animals. I solidified this while working as a veterinary assistant and a wildlife rehabilitation intern. I decided I needed to leave Alberta behind and pursue the Veterinary Technology program at TRU. During my studies, I was lucky enough to complete a practicum here at KamVet and that's when I fell in love with the team and the atmosphere. I have now finished my second year and will be graduating in June of 2023.  I am excited to be working with the amazing team here, and I can't wait to see what aspects of Veterinary Medicine I fall in love with. Outside of work you can find me exploring the beautiful B.C., reading a good book or talking for hours with my family back home.
